Frequently Asked Questions About Us Selling Your Stuff on eBay...

Why Use Us...

GOing1nceLLC is a long-time eBay seller with experience & a fine eBay reputation - qualities buyers seek in making a successful purchase on eBay.

Can I sell on eBay myself?

You, of course, can be an eBay seller. But - if you’re not computer-savvy or just don’t have the time or interest, we can do it. We also believe we can generate a higher sell price on your item because of our reputation and knowledge.

When will my item be on eBay?

Generally, we will list your item on the Sunday following 4 days after we take possession of your items and descriptions. Our auctions last 7 days, usually ending Sunday evenings - a time which has proven successful to us. In our premium upgrade plan, we list for 10 days, from Thursday until the following Sunday, covering 2 weekends.

Isn’t it easy to get ripped off online?

It does happen, but there are many safeguards on eBay and paypal to keep the instances of fraud low. There are risks and we make every effort to minimize these by having strict terms of service. We insulate you, our client, from having to assume any risk on eBay. eBay is based on community values; most of our experiences have been quite positive.

Are you an expert on all the items you sell?

Of course not! We do have some areas of knowledge and we often augment this knowledge by researching some of the items we list for clients, but, ultimately, it is up to you to provide us some info about your items to guide us in creating the description(s).

How do you know what my item is worth?

We don’t necessarily know. It is the eBay marketplace which determines an item’s worth.

How did you determine your fees?

We incur costs through the eBay and paypal fees and for our labor involved in selling your items - these are a substantial portion of the fees we charge to you. We make every effort to get the greatest exposure on your items. And, we consider you and GOing1nceLLC to be partners, working together to generate the best possible profit for us both. We don’t make a profit unless your item sells.

What We Do...

GOing1nceLLC will handle the complete eBay process for you:

  • Receive & store your items
  • Photograph or scan your items, optimize and host the pictures on our web site
  • Determine categories, prices and descriptions for your eBay items listings
  • Submit items listings to eBay for auctions under our eBay ID & reputation, GOing1nceLLC.
  • Include photos and descriptions of your items on GOing 1nce LLC.com website during duration of eBay listings
  • Provide a code to you to track your items on eBay
  • Will communicate with bidders and prospective bidders via email
  • Handle all associated transactions
  • Package and ship items
  • Pay you, return unsold items to you and provide printed report of your eBay sales

Why do I have to give you my items before you will list them?

We have to photograph, weigh and accurately describe your item prior to the auction and ship immediately upon receipt of payment. Our reputation on eBay is crucial to us - one of the worst infractions on eBay is to not have the item available to ship when promised.

Why would you decide to not list my item?

If we don’t believe it will sell for reasons based on our experience or is prohibited under eBay’s terms of service or community values or our own terms of service, we will decline listing your item.

When will I get my money?

Usually within 14-21 days after the close of the auction. We need this time to receive and process the payment, to ship to customer, customer inspection of item, possible return of item to us (rarely happens!) and to do our bookkeeping report for you. It is possible that the transaction will be completed successfully earlier or later than expected - but we'll let you know if that's the case.

What About...

There are some other things we want you to know about:

Can I cancel an auction before it ends?

No, our eBay reputation is at stake. An in-progress cancellation, particularly when bids have been made upon an item, has serious repercussions in the eBay community. That said, it can be done in extreme instances, but you will incur a financial penalty from us for doing so, as per our Consignment Agreement.

Can I or my friend bid on my item?

NO! This is against the terms of service on eBay and GOing1nceLLC. Doing so is often a way to artificially manipulate the sales price of an itme and is an unethical, and possibly illegal, practice.

What if a buyer returns my item to you?

We have a 3-day return policy - within 3 days after the buyer receives the item, he must notify us he will return the item, then must ship within 3 days. We will issue a refund to the bidder and offer to another bidder, if any, or relist the item or return it to you, depending on the circumstances. By allowing us to take the possession of the item, accurately photograph and describe it, this minimizes the chance for misrepresenting your item in the listing, thus minimizing the risk of return.

What if the bidder doesn’t pay?

This does happen occasionally on eBay. We will file a complaint with eBay and make every effort to receive payment, but if the customer doesn’t pay, we will relist your item, offer it to another bidder or return it to you.

Will I get more $$ with a high opening bid?

Generally, no . Often, a high minimum bid scares potential bidders off. A lower minimum price often tends to draw more bidders into viewing your item, creating more interest and resulting in a higher-than-expected sell price. Of course, with a low opening price, there’s the chance your item will sell at the lower price - so make certain this minimum is a rate you can accept. See our page of some items we've sold on eBay - you'll see many of these had an sale price much greater than the opening bid price.
